The First 90 Seconds: Learning What Practice Is

I try to practice three times a day, on the 59th minute of my chosen hours. These are moments to stop, breathe, visualize, and co-create something beautiful — for myself, my loved ones, and the world.

This practice feels intimate to me. It’s a way to connect with people I’ve never met, to come into agreement with them, to say: I agree with you, brother, I agree with you, sister, for a beautiful life, for happiness, peace, prosperity, and virtue. Even if I’m doing this all by myself, it is still incredibly powerful — the ability to hold a positive thought for 90 seconds can change your life, even if no one else ever joins you.

The first 90 seconds is easy. After you take the course, you’re anticipating it — you know the 59th minute is coming, and that moment almost feels effortless. But the alerts you set for yourself throughout your day? Those are the ones that take real practice. Life doesn’t pause. Whether you’re watching a movie, working, or adulting, the 59th minute often arrives in the middle of something. It takes practice to slow down, to turn your mind toward a visualization, to pause and create a vision of a better world. Just 90 seconds, I've said in the tagline. But it’s not as simple as it sounds.

Imagine it’s 9:59 a.m. in New York. Across the world, others are pausing too:

  • Dubai: 5:59 p.m.

  • Tokyo: 6:59 p.m.

  • London: 2:59 p.m.

  • Sydney: 8:59 p.m.

  • São Paulo: 10:59 a.m.

  • Los Angeles: 6:59 a.m.

Even though the clock times are different, it’s the same moment everywhere — the 59th minute of the hour. We are all pausing, visualizing, and taking a deep breath in at the same time in our respective time zones.

Now imagine 50 people, strangers scattered around the globe, all participating in this shared pause. Each person is creating a vision of love, peace, joy, or virtue — individually, yet together in perfect agreement. They take a deep breath at the top of the hour, locking in that intention. The power of this collective focus is real. Multiply that by hundreds, thousands, millions — people co-creating a better world, each in their own life, each in agreement with one another.

I’m not a master yet. Sometimes my alerts go off at inconvenient times — I’m watching a movie, working, or adulting — and I can’t get a clear vision together. Sometimes I turn off one alert, or two, or even all three I’ve set for the day. Sometimes I get only one or two, and I remind myself: that’s all okay. The practice is still working, still moving through me, still connecting me to others doing the same.

I created this practice on November 6, 2024. It came to me as a vision, prompting me to build a course, a website, and my own journey to share it. I look forward to mastering it, to seeing it ripple out across the world, and to continuing my practice every day. Practice is doing something repeatedly until it becomes second nature in your body.
